Walkers and hikers: what fits like Salomon?

My Salomon leather boots have given up. The sole on one foot is coming apart and is now in 3 sections. No Shane to them TBH. Trouble is, I have Salomon shaped feet. After years of suffering blisters I found that I could buy anything Salomon, 8n a size 42, and it would fit me perfectly.

Salomon do a whole range of footwear but I need something that will take a C1 crampon and that doesn't, at first sight, seem to be available now.

Any other suggestions for other brands that use a similar last?(yes, I know about trying stuff on but limited shop-based trials are inadequate).

Ta.

I have salomon shaped feet too, but have now swapped to la sportiva approach shoes and asolo boots. Both are a good fit.

I have fitted Salomon for years - mainly lighter boots and trainers.

Adidas is similar narrow rear/OK toebox fit - I doubt they do crampon fit.

Asolo is a similar fit IIRC, and the comfiest boots I have ever owned (20 years ago mind...). Plenty of choice.

I also have an ancient leaky pair of Mammut/was Raichle and they too fitted me well.

My Salomon X-Alp takes a c3, but it could do with being a tad stiffer still really.

The closest that worked for me are some of the scarpa's.
I bought some manta's for proper winter and a set of fabrics too as all my boots died around the same time

I'd have a look at AKU, Hanwag, maybe Scarpa's more technical lasted boots, and Mammut for starters and yep, La Sportiva. In a way, you're quite fortunate as Salomon's last is pretty much a Goldilocks, middle of the road fit, so there are quite a few other options out there. Predictably, yes, the best way is to try lots of boots and see what feels best. I fit Salomon well and AKU and Hanwag both also suit my feet.

Some good ideas there. Scarpa are a definite no-no which is a shame.

I too find Scarpa eat me - wide heel area equates to a lot of blisters.

I'm two big hikes into a pair of Hanwag Tetra2 - they are feeling very nice now. I have narrow feet.
The rest of my shoes are Sportiva and Salomon approach and Haix boots.

Re. Blisters - two pair of socks with the inner pair being silk so they 'slide'. I do this for my bigger days out.

The Asolo are very similar. In my experience the tread on Salomon's is better but the construction of Asolo's more durable...
