I've never managed to buy different length waistcoats. Probably the cheap suits I've bought in the past.

The gentleman's outfitter who decked me out for my wedding did though. Proper old school traditional place, so good quality suits might come length sized.

Where's Flashy when you need him?

You rang?

Rather depends on what sort of wisket you're buying! If with a suit, it should be fitted as well as the suit. So, if you buy a cheap suit, your waistcoat will share that same tatty, non-fitting style! Buy a good suit, and it should be fitted well to you.

If it's a standalone item, such as something from Favourbrook or even Hackett (Upstairs, beyond the tourist tat polo shirts) they do tend to come in both width and height fittings.

Just a 'fashion' suit, sort of slim fit mod job. Wasn't sure about going a size down.

I suspect a waistcoat would be one affectation too far in that case! 😉

Oh, and brown shoes? In the evening? Are you quite, quite mad? (Not really accepted in smart circles, but if you're "rocking" a "fashion" suit, what the hell do I know? 😉 )
