I've just ordered a replacement catch mechanism and freed up a stuck window.
Plan is to clean it all really well.
But what can I lube with - I was thinking silicone lubricant, maybe gummi-pfledge?
Any other advice on them - I gather they are a poor design.
Do you man the side window?

all I do and never had a problem with them in 10 years , aside from they get a bit stuck when I’ve not done that for a while.
go easy on the handles when you do free them up.

which I use for these kinds of jobs, a little goes a long way. Although having just googled it, looks like it’s not that easy to get hold of now.
Ultimately I had my windows replaced with aftermarket ones, which never leaked or got stuck…
Are these the sliding rear side windows? I ask because I had them fitted to my converted panel van T5 and one of the latches has detached from the glass.Need to glue it back on. Does any one know whats the best glue for attaching a plastic latch to glass please?

Mrs_oab is on it - looking at magnetic ones for side windows. We've already got high windows and skylight, but I'm not convinced the mesh is small enough to stop midges, so we're also looking at a velcro midge net for skylight...
Oh yeah you are a high top forgot about that! For side windows I am making some inset ones, maybe a bit of 3D printing, as looked at magnetic but they have to cover the whole pane, not just the crappy small bit that opens. kirivans do one but £££

My passenger side sliding window has started to rust but still works and hasnt leaked yet, the drivers side sliding window has completely rusted, leaks lots and ive siliconed around that one for now
To get my passenger side window running freely i just used some silicone spray and now open it a few times a month to keep an eye on it
I binned mine off and got new windows from Camper Glass. Original one leaked constantly.

None!
It was stuck through no use due to a broken catch. Seemed to just be stuck to the weather seal and dirt on the lower track.
Make sure the drain leak catching holes are clear. The whole design is a shambles: who the hell designed a car window to deliberately leak? Then the water it lets in pisses all over the integrated blinds and covers them with aluminium oxide.
