I have a c30month old VW polo, on the rear seats there is a pop up indicator to show the seat is locked in the upright position. The seat does appear to lock, but the indicator is stuck and does not disappear when the seat is upright. Any idea what the fix might be?

At 30 months it’s still under warranty surely?

it'll be under warranty, but it 's whether I can be bothered to go to a dealer if the fix is simple.

Check there isn't a foreign object stuck where it shouldn't be and stopping it seat or latch fully engaging. Seat belt is a prime suspect.

We had an Octavia have that, so presumably same VAG mechanism. Just gave the seat a good tug to make sure it was locked in place and ignored the indicator.
