Bit disappointing at Severn Beach, did several turns in the distance over Bristol Airport/Filton, flew over Portishead then Cardiff, came back between the Severn bridges than turned North.
Shame, must have been a thousand or so people down here. 🙁

Hi RT, no, I drove over specifically, no bike. Sat outside Down's Bakery with a cup of tea and a cheese and onion pasty now, before heading back home to Chippenham.
Maybe I should have gone down to Old Sarum, but no idea if she took that route either.

Was suprised how quiet it was unlike the wailing banshee display I have seen at Farnborough many times

She flew straight past Old Sarum, banked over and went on her way. I had a great view, even Miss Beaker was impressed.

Circled over Bristol, flew low right over our house - great stuff!

Sad not to see the burners on full gas though.

My father could'nt be bothered to see the Vulcan today. Fed up with Vulcans flying around all day as the Concordes flying test bed, around/severn beach etc.

Seen enough for a lifetime.

Quite interesting link though...

Waited for it on Puttenham common with maybe 200 others, but it went past a bit further north. Still saw it but lacked the full awe factor. That said my youngest daughter said that compared to the passenger jets that are our normal ideas of aeroplanes it looked like something from outer space, which is impressive enough.

I'd actually thought about turning off and going to Old Passage, south of Aust, which is about where she crossed between the bridges. I'd originally considered going down to Old Sarum as well, but I thought the Severn Bridge flyover would be more dramatic.
Should have followed my instincts. 😐

Saw Her at Dunsfold just outside the airfield as apparently they weren't letting anyone in...
She did a double pass right over our little group with the suggestion of a wing waggle as She flew off to Farnborough.
Felt quite a personal experience as there was only about ten of us watching.
Just posted the vid from my phone on YouTube- my first posting

If it had dropped one single bomb as it flew over D Wing yesterday, we'd have at least 120 dead prisoners (collateral damage may have got some on B & C wings as well..

I guess I shouldn't bitch too much, I saw her do a terrific display at Weston-Super-Mare earlier this year, got a bunch of decent photos, I'd have just liked to have seen the old girl close up one last time.

Old Sarum today. Taken from the hill overlooking the airfield as I finished my ride.

Makes up for her non-appearance at the airshow a few weeks ago when she had to turn back with a suspected fuel leak

I was working in the garage on Saturday and heard an almighty racket. Looking everywhere to try to see what was making the noise then suddenly it appeared right over my head from the other side of the house. I was soo excited as was my 6 year old daughter who loves anything to do with war and warfare 🙂
