I’m in the wilds of Finland on business but desperate to watch the 6 Nations later on today. No pubs nearby - as if they’d show it.

Please help. Which VPN will out-fox the BBC’s proxy detector and allow me to watch it on iPlayer?

I have a TV license, so pretty guilt-free request.

Cheers all!

Express VPN worked recently for us in Dubai

All the big brand ones are similar price and reputable

in the past I used cheap ones with very limited success

Opera browser has a VPN built in, you can upgrade to premium which lets you select the country. There's usually a free trial period. Might be worth a try.

NordVPN does me fine. Sometimes i need to refresh the connection, or use a different protocol as it seems to be recognised by whatever service I'm using (Disney+ mostly, not so iPlayer or Netflix).

only the Wales game will be in iPlayer, you had better fire up the ITV equivalent for the other two matches.

Thanks for the tips. I tried McAfee VPN (came free with my Dell) but was no good.

@peteimpreza - good call. As I am English-ish but reside in the Principality, I need to watch Wales to prepare for homecoming backchat from my Welsh kids!

Surfshark seems to be working well at the moment, but you probably can't go wrong with Nord vpn

If you have a TV licence and an iPlayer login, do you need a VPN at all? (Genuine question, I don't know but I thought you didn't.)

I occasionally use Windscribe and it seems to work well. The free version gives you 10 GB / month.

Yes content is licensed to different providers in different countries.

Tunnel bear but it's getting harder to find the free version

Nice one. Got on to both BBC and ITV using a 5 day trial of F-secure Freedome.

Wish I hadn’t turned on the Wales game 😳
