Has anybody got any experience of owning/running a Volvo V60 (V2) D4 automatic?

Currently putting together a shortlist to replace my current and car and looking for some real world feedback on running costs and ownership experience etc. I would be looking to pick up a second hand one around 2/3 years old.

I've had a V90 with the same powertrain for 2 years has been faultless, brisk enough for me, I get 46mpg a V60 should do more.

Great car for wofting around in on long journeys, mines a T5 so quite nippy, crap 31 mpg though , auto box is a bit dull unless you use selector or dynamic setting.looks very nice in neverclean black quite menacing and very comfy front and back👍🏼

I have the V60 D4 in manual flavour.

Think it's stating mid 40s for mpg.

Nice and surprisingly rapid car.

No surprises from it, would definitely buy another or the Polestar version of it.

I run a 2020 D4 estate auto. Bought at 2 years old and 29k on it. Now at 65k no issues. Only gripe is slight hesitation of gearbox running up to an island for example. Superb motor way car. I fix machine tools for a living so always fully loaded with kit. Gives about 50 to the gallon. I like it and think it’s a lovely looking estate and not too big, but deceptively spacious. I was lucky with mine as it’s pretty much fully loaded options wise, Bowers and Wilkins stereo is fabulous!!

I had a D3 auto R-Design for 3 years, went back in Feb.

Didn't miss a beat, towed the caravan, driven all across Sweden several times and norway/denmark/germany, seats are best in class, and also very comfortable, i've done 6 hours straight a few times, the ex has done a few 10 hour stints with one break (she borrows it to go to her boyfriends cottage with the kids, rather than using her ~10 year old car).

The slightly lowered and stiffened chassis on R-Design wears the tyres a little faster than normal, that's my only complaint...

All it had done was a service as it needed it, new pads and discs just before it went back, probably didn't need the discs, but it's a Volvo company car, so volvo servicing a volvo car, parts are cheap! And a set of front tyres last summer (and they swapped the rears before it went for resale).

Averaged about 52-53mpg over my entire ownership.

The B4 diesel Auto i replaced it with is (so far) averaging about the same.

Edit:- old one was on 18's, new one is on 19's
