You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
So.......... Looks like I've just gone and bought me a 2005 T5 Kombi (2.5 130ps T30 SWB)- just going to give it a check over tomorrow before parting with the readies.
Externally it's totally standard so it has the original black bumpers & mirror backs etc which look a bit bland so as I'm buying it as a bit of a project to play with I was thinking of doing the usual and giving it the 'Sportline' look by getting the bumpers body coloured and fitting a front lower spoiler, tailgate spoiler, side spoilers, roof rails etc etc.
I don't want to be spending a fortune on it but I'd just like to make it look a bit nicer, so has anyone done this and can they recommend any T5 parts suppliers (like a CRC/Wiggle of transporter vans!) who can supply these parts?
I have found the following which appears to fit the bill by offering most of the relevant parts for £285 - any one used them or recommend similar?

Any advice/info gratefully received.

I’d just like to make it look a bit nicer,
You genuinely think front spoiler, rear spoiler and roof rails will make it look nicer?
That's scary.
Slightly off topic but have you checked the mot history? Worth a look as you can see all the advisories it’s had...

You’ll get a lot of people saying why bother.... but get past them for a minute. 😉
Bodykits aren’t normally that expensive. The main cost is the fitting and painting. And that has to be done very well or it’ll look like crap. Factor in a few days labour at a body shop then paint on top and it’ll soon be many times more than the initial cost of the kit. Bear in mind that if fitted poorly it can accelerate rust problem as water might get in where it wasn’t meant to and water can be trapped in pockets too.
Oh and a body kit without matching wheels and lowering to suit the kit just isn’t worth the bother, it’ll just look cack
I reckon if you want it to look nicer then do small and subtle stuff. Maybe a slight window tint, nicer wheels (think of ones no one uses - I have Citroen C6 spare 17” steel wheels on my Volvo!) and a subtle drop. Oh and get it polished properly to make it look a lot younger.
I’ve got that model and that year. Put some money aside for the camshaft when it goes.

Well yes and no.....the second bit is true the first bit won't really help with the second.
Not what you asked but this is STW - Sportline kit is everywhere and a bit chav IMO. My brother has a LWB Highline with boot spoiler and siderails which looks much better. But then he also has 20" Range Rover alloys on it so he's a chavvy little chavster too.
