Anyone wearing the TRACKER II FG? Are these just a fashion boot and not up to hill conditions? Thinking about them for the WHW, thereafter general dog walking duties etc.

I have a pair and like them very much. Good for Hebden Tech etc. Warm. Waterproof. Really like them, though they are the first walking boots I've owned in a million years.

Warm, waterproof, very light compared to conventional walking boots. Wore mine all through the winter here in Aberdeenshire. Good in the snow, only downside is the sole doesn’t have the grip of vibram on rock and wet roots.

I really liked mine but after 3 sets, I realised the claim of waterproof really is wishful thinking on their part.

Now using Greet and Xero instead.

The factory leather treatment lasted days, a few applications of nikwax and mine are shedding water fine.

Not needed them yet but they're on my radar, if they're as comfy as my Primus knits they'll be a winner
