Don't have tickets or anything, just wondered if its worth going to see the place. Mainly for the kids really.
Is it possible to see much or is basically the whole area locked off ?

It's in lock down. Closest you can get is westfield shopping centre the other side of the road. You can get a par pass when the Olympics start though.

You could take a light aircraft over the Olympic Site for a little look, once the games have started.

apparently you get arrested if you climb the climbing tower/sculpture thing next to the stadium, makes for a pretty good day out.
