Heading to London on Wednesday for the day with the wife and daughter whose 5. Gonna be doing the usual tourist stuff. What's the cheapest way to get around? Oystercard, Travelcard or just pay as we go?
Thanks

Does that get you unlimited journeys on the tube and buses?

Yes. Make sure you have an idea as to whether the places you're visiting are within Zone 2 (or not) as that has an effect on the price.

You have to buy the oyster £5!- if you plan to come back to the smoke then the oyster is the winner.
If however you only come once every decade or so ,then travel card...
unlimited use on tubes & buses for both.

Thanks. Looks like a Travelcard then. Not gonna be venturing back there for ages so £5 for the Oyster seems a waste and after looking at the map I reckon we'll only be travelling within zones 1 and 2.
