Virgin Media - Elderly Parent Being Harassed

I wonder if someone could provide me with contact details for Virgin Media where I can actually speak to a real person. They are harassing my aged mother over an alleged unpaid bill, she owes them nothing. She has tried to contact them by various means but either can't get through on the phone or her emails are ignored. Even though I have told her there is nothing to worry about she is now getting quite anxious.

Thanks in advance.

Is it actually a bona fide Virgin person, or just a scam? I used to get masses of scam calls purporting to be from Virgin. They have a fairly useful user forum you could try?

Is she actually a Virgin customer? Do they verify account numbers on the phone? Sounds like a scam if they are “harassing” her.

Block the number? Or block all unknown callers.

03454541111 Is their sales number. Call that.

They are utterly useless as a company and should be avoided at all costs. It is almost impossible to get through to them, and when you finally do the first couple of layers of “support” are simply rude and useless. If you persevere and finally manage to make it through to one of their UK based call centres the staff there are usually friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. Unfortunately it’s so difficult ti actually get through to that team it’s just too little too late.

Agreed, the first thing to do is verify it's not a scam... are they phoning her? can you see the phone numbers they are calling from?

Agreed. They are the absolute worst company we have ever dealt with.

Their incompetence is impressive. Oh has spent hours and hours on the phone to them, due to them assigning her account to her father's at a totally different address.

It's still not sorted. We've cancelled everything despite them having the highest speed broadband round here at a stupidly low price. We just don't want to deal with them.

Sorry for the thread hijack, but they're utter shite to deal with.

Try Resolver - worked for me when a relative was being harassed by a utility.
