I can import a gpx file, but it comes in as route, with no timings? How can I import it as a track?

In the Android app, I think you click the route, and then hit "edit". Then there's an option to convert it to a track (yes, exactly what I thought).
For something you would think ought to be straightforward, it's astonishingly frustrating to work out how to do this.

Viewranger is a great app, but it has to be said its very clunky and confusing to use sometimes
