😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Just got home from the hospital, feeling a little anticlimatic (is that a word? you know what I mean, anyway) so thought I'd share the fact with the STW hive that I am now the proud father of a smashing little boy born at 20.12 on the 01-01-2012. Wierd huh?

So proud of my wonderful wife, she was a right trooper and just got on with what looked to be an incredibly difficult job. Humbled me to see it, glad I could support her in my own small way.

Anyway, the only thing is, we were completely set for having a girl, names and everything.

Suggestions below, silly or serious, would be welcome for first names that go nicely with the surname of Wood. You never know...

Crack on STW!

Edward can be shortened to Woody, that's what inspired me.

Tom is a good un.

All the best ! We were completely sure that our last child was going to be a girl and the name we picked was Eve, but out came a boy so i said would you adam and eve it, so he became Adam. So what was going to be the name of the child if she was had been a girl. Barry (good lancs opening batsmen) or some name begining with R. ( then you could say he's R wood)

Gert
😆
Wood is an ace name for comedy first names isn't it? My sister was nearly called Holly, until my folks thought about it; they called the dog Holly instead.

Fantastic stuff! After becoming a dad two weeks ago I can tell you.....

...very little actually. Except it rocks!

If Seren had been a boy, we were going to go with Noah. Although I like Seth and Magnus too.

Well done to the pair of you!

So you're after three syllables, then? Like Jonathan or Isambard . . .

I wanted Ezra for our son Pigface. The wife was ok with it till I mentioned that an ex MotoCross world champ was called Ezra Lusk then she went off it!

KenWood? Hmmm, it has been suggested... Lol.
I actually like Samuel Thomas Wood, but m'lovely wife doesn't like Sam. Ezra is interesting, and Dylan has been suggested too. Dylan Joe Wood maybe? I've been told a definate no to Nathaniel, it's a naughty boy's name according to my mother who was a primary school teacher for oddon years.

I agree three syllables sound nice, but two syllables and a single syllable middle name does the job too I think?

I do like Joe...

Maybe Elfin as a middle name? Would that be asking for trouble? 😯 lol x

Woody

Looks like an Edward to me. It's a good enough name for EIGHT kings since 1066.

From this day forth you shall be known as Little Ted.
