Does anyone own a really cheap iwatch alternative that does the job?

I just want something I can look at to see who's calling/texting without having to get my phone out of my pocket and get it covered in paint at work?

Many thanks.

I have an Amazfit Bip. Cost 40 squid from Gearbest, counts steps, takes heartbeat, tracks GPS and flashes up texts / Whatsapps / phone calls. And tells the time.

It's a lot more basic than a 'proper' smartphone, and there are reports that the app eats phone battery (on Android) but mine seems ok. It's also very cheap and the watch battery lasts for aaaaaages.

Pick up a Pebble Time for next to nothing. Great for notifications and basic functions. Battery lasts about five days too. Don’t understand the Apple Watch personally. Having a battery that lasts less than a day just seems pointless to me.

Not sure about next to nothing but I'll certainly have a look at them.

Seems I might be able to get hold of one second hand on eBay for about £50?

Looks like it does everything I'd need?

Five days? Pshaw! My Amazfit lasts more like five weeks! (Seriously, 40 days is not impossible depending what you have turned on...
