There is indeed, it was announced on BBC News this evening, and there will be Feathers sculptures, and they ‘unboxed’ a Norbot sculpture as well.
Will definitely be watching. MrsDoris was a modelmaker on an Aardman film a few years back - knowing some of the processes behind it all I enjoy them even more now.
Knowing that's going to be on has made my Christmas. Is it definitely going to be on Beeb1 on Christmas Day?
I do hope so. It'll just be me and the wife with Wallace & Gromit, what more could I ask for?

Best bit for me was Gromit's little 4th wall breaking glance when Wallace told him Norbot was voice activated.
An absolute delight overall. Way better written and constructed than most blockbusters.

Same here, 18-55, everyone had their phone down, calling out film references and some of the written visual gags. Suspect like the other films the more you watch it the more you spot.
I loved it too. Doesn't get better than that. I thought there was definitely Cybermen references as well. It's something when W&G is more scary than Dr who.

The cut to Anton Deck was brilliant.
‘Cone Brothers’ on the back of the Highways truck, which made me laugh. I recorded it, just in case, but watched it live - I’ll be watching it again before too long, with a forensic level of intensity!
As others have said watched with family and recorded as well. I spotted WG40 on a Blue and Yellow can on a shelf for one , definitely one to watch again. Like Creature Comforts so much going on in the background as well .The attention to detail is amazing and it's reassuring that with all the OTT CGI around something as labour intensive and quintessentially British is still being made and appreciated . Hats off to everyone at Aardman

Anton Deck was probably the joke of the show but loads of great details. The canal boat scene went down particularly well with in laws who own a canal boat

Who is watching W&G expecting a complex, multi layered plot line? I'm here for the incredible animation, slapstick, one liners and gentle mickey taking of British culture. I wasn't disappointed.

Well the police weren't expecting the blue diamond to be missing, and nor was I. It had me on the edge of my seat.
Never really grabbed the wife's attention (usually she's a fan too) I enjoyed it though, as said loads of easter eggs/subtle details to pick up on!

So, right at the start on the flashback when he’s staring at the diamond it never crossed your mind he’d was planning on swapping it, then when Wallace said he’d not used the teapot for years it would be in there?
I watch too may films.
When the teapot was smashed… it was made of chocolate, wasn’t it? Not just me that thought that?

We live near two canals, one of which has a high aqueduct which the narrow boats scarily float over. The detail of the boats was excellent.

Fraid i have to say i found it a little boring too. Especially the latter half. Started well, a few laughs, but it kind of tailed off and I even fell asleep for a bit*
Didn't want to add this review until someone felt similar.(xmas buzz and all that)
*Didn't actually watch it till 3am and im currently unwell, so maybe in better spirits its worth a 2nd chance

I must be easily pleased. Thought it was great (long with the rest of our family)..... the storyline, humour, clever references and the superb animation. The best thing I've seen over Christmas by a long way. Perhaps I'm just not very sophisticated.

Yep, well loved by all the family at our Christmas gathering.
Adults enjoyed all the film references and the clever background gags like "no parkin" and "dun-nickin" (the name of the canal boat belonging to the retired copper), kids enjoyed the general vibe of it all.

Ah, I was watching with audio description and subtitles in the canteen this morning on bbc2!
The baby seal being petted on Feather's knee had be near spit out my beer.
Best programme on TV all day for me (all year quite possibly).
I was off to YouTubeland when all the subsequent dross like Dead Enders started up, for some slide guitar videos having received a new bottle neck from Santa. Some of you will get my drift on that).
I absolutely loved it. Jaws reference with the canal boat throttle?
