Gutted. This place was nothing to do with roadie lycra or muddy gnar, just good people trying to make a positive impact on making bikes a way of life for all.

And good food and coffee.

Will be missed by locals and tourers passing through alike.

That really is a great shame. They achieved so much. I wonder what the back-story is.

We visited last year when we were in Inverness. It was an amazing place and the food was fantastic. A great loss.

I was in there once with mrs gordimhor she described it as "nay bad" which is very high praise indeed from her.

I didn't use it much but liked it being there.

Cafe at Gisbun Forest has also shut, combination of rising costs and significantly reduced events (FE put up event prices) just made in unviable. Hospitality is getting a right kicking at the moment.

With forestry bodies across the nations increasing the prices for onsite everything (Leases, profit share, parking etc.) I expect a good number of cafes and shops at forest locations to close.

Brilliant cafe, but also the work they did on cycling advocacy and improving access was really important. I’ve done a bit of volunteering with them and chatting to the folk who’ve been involved in their ‘Cycle to health’ scheme was truly inspirational.

A real loss

Aviemore and Glenmore Community Trust has just taken over the visitor centre and cafe at Glenmore, but that was a pull rather than a push. It's been a desire for a few years.

I'm visiting Inverness next year and it was on the list of places that I wanted to visit, sounds a real loss.

Looks like it might be reopening under a new name. Former employees are now trying to resurrect it.

I'll attach this screenshot...

I'd heard there was some form of investigation going on, hope they manage to recover. Gambling is awful, there's a reason it used to be so much more tightly controlled.
