Just one of the unfriendly beasts you may come across in the Australian jungle aka rainforest.
It's just as well they don't have the jaws to match...

Cassowary. They're aggressive buggers, and apparently the only bird known to have killed humans.
Cassowary? Frightening buggers.

I'm a Celebrity gets more extreme each year.
the only bird known to have killed humans.
Not true.
I'll bet more people have died from eating undercooked chicken.
"clever girl"
Cassowary's had a big brother called the moa which went extinct only about 600 years ago. Weighed approx 250kg!
Bird strikes.
The worst U.S. plane crash blamed on birds came on April 10, 1960, when an Eastern Airlines aircraft crashed into Boston Harbor, killing 62 passengers.
Amongst others...
Even scarier - Moa were predated by Haast's eagles - how terrifying would they have been ?
It saddens me a lot that Moa were hunted to extinction - how cool would it be if they were still roaming about on the South Island (or even the West Island)
I know I wouldn't fancy a full blown kick from an Ostrich!

That's how Johnny Cash got the inspiration for 'Hurt'.

Where do you think the word 'Casserole' comes from?
Bloody hell, I remember the Cassowary at Edinburgh zoo getting pretty aggro at the fence, perhaps we shouldn't have been poking it through the bars, could have lost a finger!
They ruled the world once, and they haven't forgotten.
I thought wrong forum i'm sure I've an old Cannondale with at least one still surviving

Nothing, honest.
I had one stalking me a few weeks back when I was in Oz. Fortunately for me it was keeping its distance because I was in hike-a-bike mode. Surprisingly hard to see for such a big bird. They make convincing Velociraptor noises though. I made myself scarce quickly.
It left its calling card all over the track though...

Same here. My P7 is fitted with Velociraptors front and rear.
Just found this
In the words of Eddie izzard. It's not really a bird strike, it's more of a 'plane suck'
Hols, are we supposed to be guessing the odd one out? I'm going for the top one, all the others are participating in a pointless activity. 🙂
Here's a moment we were hoping for killer bird action.
