Looking for a cheap video camera for a few uplift days and generally messing around. Have used other people's Go Pro, but budget no way going to stretch that far, and it's not going to get a huge amount of use.
Veho Muvi seemed the way to go a year ago, is this still the case, or is it a case of 'don't bother' in the < £100 price point?

Someone's flogging a GoPro for £100 quid on the classifieds too, it seems.
Liquid image ego. £75 at amazon.
Wouldn't bother wasting your money on the muvi, absolute pile of dung, got one myself and only used it twice, the mounts dont fit well and if there is any sort of vibration/movement then it just looks blurry, that was the basic muvi I had was a couple of years back now, not sure if the hd version is any better.
save your money and get something better.
Don't bother with the Muvi, bought one and then bought a GoPro. They are leagues apart. You definately get what you pay for. I could never get the Muvi stable the image quality was iffy and forget trying to shoot into the sun. The GoPro however does not suffer the same issues and there are plenty of accesories from GoPro and 3rd party's to cover your needs with it 🙂
A windsurfer mate uses one of the polaroid ones, he loves it. £75.00 just remember the sd card

Have a look at some of the similar threads on here that have recommended the Sony HDR-AS15 as a good alternative to the GoPro.
I think Argos are currently selling the for £149.
I've got a rollei youngstar that cost me £30 at the end of last year. It's pretty good. I'll stick a vid up later and put it in here.
No sound with the case on, but plenty good enough for dossing about with.
Edit: If I was going to spunk £100, I'd go the whole hog and get a gopro tbh.
Here it is, looks a bit crappy on youtube, it's my first attempt at youtubing. Perfectly watchable on the computer, but no gopro, obvs.
Not a big fan of Veho since they completely failed to release Windows 7 drivers for one of their slide scanners, thereby reducing my £100 spend to a pile of useless plastic.
Would avoid Veho in future in case they do it again.
