I've got a bit of a fish intolerance and of late cod liver oil tablets have left me feeling a bit odd.
Any non fish recommendations to help my knees?

More biking.  And sunshine.  Vitamin D supplementation can help a little apparently (so more sun).

Supplementation is poorly correlated in actual science with helping joints across the board.  I would love it to be otherwise (have had both my ankles fully re-ligamented) but it just ain't so.

Biggest thing you can do for your joints is not be fat.  Losing weight makes everything a lot less painful as you're taking the strain off them.

BMI gets panned but it's useful and the range of healthy weights for your height is huge. My healthy weight range is from 150-190lbs (10.7 - 13.5 stone).    If I keep myself below 13 stone my ankle pain is reduced by 80-90%.   It goes up logarithmically after 13 stone.

Of course, if I get to 12.5 stone my family start calling me "belson boy".  But that's because they're a bunch of fat bastards that have forgotten what it's like to be a healthy weight, and they project their idea of "healthy" on me.

These are the ones I use. They are derived from algae, which is where the fish get them from in the first place.

Cod liver oil does nowt for your knees, people often make a connection about that in their mind because they picture oil as 'lubricating' their joints. It is digested the same way as any other oil we consume - the fats are turned into energy and the vitamins held within the oils brought into the bloodstream.

Cod liver oil is mainly beneficial for getting more vitamin D in terms of people living in the UK.
