Found a bunch of old vcrs at my parents .

Smile , smile 2 natural selections and true north.

The first three at least cannot be bought on dvd and feature heavily races and events i was at and occasionally me and mates feature in em so id like to get them preserved for the future.

What is the easiest way to convert them - we dont even have a vcr :/

There are plenty of kits around, but you'd need a VCR. So, I guess you'd need to get someone to do it for you.. Never done it myself, but a google brings up these chaps

You need a VCR and something like this ..http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Transfer-Convert-Copy-VHS-VCR-Video-Tapes-to-PC-DVD-Complete-Kit-Win-7-32-64-/221011169725?pt=UK_Computing_TV_Tuner_Video_Capture_Devic. Transfer the video to pc/laptop then you can edit/rip to DVD. Alternativly send them away for someone else to do it for you as above.
