Considering buying a Vax Spotwash for cleaning small carpet areas, stairs, armchair, mattress etc. Are they any good? Powerful? the cleaning head looks pretty small, so guessing only for small carpet areas.
Got one - bought it because we have dogs and inevitably have to deal with spills and stains. Straightforward to use, although brush on head is quite small, so for bigger areas have resorted to using a scrubbing brush and cleaner applied directly and then use Vax to suck up dirty water. The brush on the head does get dirty and there’s no way to get the head apart to clean it properly. Brush, cleaning fluid and a regular wet’n’dry vacuum would probably work just as well.
Hi Dovebiker, are they very powerful in terms of spray and suction? would you recommend the product? seem pretty cheap at £130.
We have one as my missis is quite a cleaner. Pretty effective I think. I definitely have to hire a big machine less frequently.
Suction is enough to leave the carpet dry to walk on. Never really thought about the spray power, it just squirts on and you use the brush head to agitate it in.
I think I'd spend a bit more and get the big one - we have one and they're pretty good.
They seem to be £100 most places at the moment, tempted myself...
Got one. Potty training… been very good
Have a look at the bissel spot clean pro. Comes with a larger head and smaller head. It’s very good. Can’t compare to the vax but doubt they’re very different
Have the spotwash duo, great bit of kit, used for dog puddles and spills, also used for keeping on top of high traffic areas, brush head comes apart easily for cleaning, as said suction is good enough to dry to walk on.handy for stairs too
