Anyone done this? How much did it cost and how long did it take (same colour)?
Something wierd happened yesterday, it looks like the clear coat has been damaged in the roof and it looks like the area where the washer water splashed in it (it is on either side of roof above windscreen).
There are also some other areas on the van I have thought about getting sorted so think getting the whole thing done maybe the best route (because it is metallic silver).
Depends how good a job you want id say, t5’s tend to be around 4k for a full decent job, reckon you could probably get quotes from about £1500 up.
i had a quote of £1500 to sort my front end and blend it back in reflex silver. Not cheap. Get quotes and try and look at sampes of work if you like your van.
Where abouts are you?
Getting it vinyl wrapped would be an alternative. Not as expensive as re-spraying, especially if you don't want graphics and you could have a change of colour if you felt like it.
Got my Vito done about 2 years ago for £1k, still looking good which surprised me for that price.
Damascus - I am in Bristol
Colo - where in the country was that?
I feel obliged to swoop in here with the outrageous suggestion that you can quite easily do the job yourself to a professional standard for under £100, without any investment in specialist equipment.

Course, you might think it all sounds some kinda cowboy job, but a finish like this is totally viable:

as is this:

Can i also wade in on the suggestion of a vinyl wrap.
if the surface isn’t perfect then any imperfections will show through. If laquer is flaking off then you will be applying vinyl to the poorly bonded laquer.
We frequently get asked to wrap tatty vans and cars “to freshen them up” and it will always look rubbish unless the paint is in good shape.
