I’m of a certain age and remember the original quite fondly. Anyone else looking forward to the updated version? Hope they’ve kept the feem toon.

I noticed something about this on Flipboard a couple of days ago, and I remember the original, which ran for a surprisingly long time, although sporadically, so I’m looking forward to this version. All shot on location in Amsterdam, and the bloke playing Van Der Valk has the right sort of features to play the character, somehow.
It would be nice to have a contemporary version of the theme, they’ve done it with the current version of Hawaii Five 0.

The guy who's band performed the theme is quite possibly the biggest **** I have met.

Will the reboot feature a Paternoster lift?

It's on ITV this evening (Sunday) at 8.00 pm. Never seen it, before my time obviously!

Saw the intro, looked shit, turned over. It’s ITV, not really renowned for decent drama.

God it's pretty crap and they all sound like they're from Essex!
Wife's watching it so I'm off to watch more DEVS.

Dullsville frankly.

It’s ITV, not really renowned for decent drama.

Now and again there is a gem such as Endeavour although last series was poor.

I loved the original. Barry Foster was a great actor. Whenever I think of him I always find myself saying 'repeat please' in a faux Polish accent!

Shame. Fairly formulaic stuff and all the cops are British, could have made more effort (I am shinking here of Shteeve McClaren).

We watched it. Lost count of the number of times the director should have been shouting, “let’s go again” after what looked like a first run through of the lines by one of the actors.
