I may be in the market for a new hifi amp at some point soonish, and I quite fancy something valve based, because... Well, just because, really. There seem to be a lot of Chinese ones on eBay for not ridiculous amounts of money (£250 - £400ish, can't post links 'cos I'm at work).

Any cop? How would something like that drive my old Mission 737 Renaissance floorstanders?

Or does anyone know of any kits for building one? I've an old Marantz 66 amplifier that the source dial's failed on, might be worth replacing the pre-amp with valves?
