Is cheap OK off eBay or should I go branded?
Got a HH4 and good signal.
Need to connect a desktop.
Using a power plug at the mo but it keeps over heating as it's in a corner so we need to restart it all the time.
Cheers
Tim

Personally I've used enough flaky wifi that I'd go for branded, ideally the same brand as your wifi router.

But that's based on superstition and anecdote rather than outright fact.

Why not just out the power plug on a short extension cable to get it out the corner a bit?

I've done fine with no-name ebay dongles for a couple of quid each.

Tim - I've got a Netgear WPN111 - I can post to you if that's any help?

should do (I have Virgin here), might only work at 54Mbps not 108 possibly, though?

Not got disks or anything so you might need to download drivers if they don't auto install.

Not sure on the speed thing.
Think the dodgy wired connection is 100mbps. Will check.

mail me your address and I'll post it to you and you can give it a go.

You can always keep it as a spare if it's not fast enough and you get another.
