In my office I have a 4 gang 3 pin socket extension for the laptop, screen etc. At the moment I have a normal plug to 3 USB adaptor plugged into one of the sockets but it is bulky and doesn't let me discretely store the gang socket. What I need is a small and neat USB 4 gang socket.
I have seen a couple that have a USB connection at one end and then 3 or 4 USB sockets at the other you can plug into but these seem to really limit the charge rate when you have multiple things plugged in.
Is there anything that goes from 3 pin plug to multiple USB outputs that is a similar size or preferably smaller than a normal 4 gang extension?
I'm not entirely sure I follow your requirement, but I have an Anker multi-USB charger that plugs into a mains socket. The charging end is very small & it has about a metre of mains cable.
Like this:
It seems to charge all our phones/tablets/smart watches etc. fast enough.
That is exactly what I want and I don't understand why I couldn't find it when I looked.
Thanks
For high speed stuff, I've gone over to USB C. I've not seen any with a gang plug, but I've got a coupl eof the 65w multi port chargers.

the trouble with stuff integrated into gang extensions or plug sockets is that USB power is evolving over time, and you're left with a load of integrated stuff that doesn't meet current power needs. I've an old 4-gang with build in USB from, maybe 5 years ago? 2A output over USB and its hopeless (takes about 8 hours) at charging a phone

It's also probably really shit and has a really noisy / poorly regulated output....
At least with the Anker one above, it will meet the relevant USB specs.
There are 100s of tear downs if cheap USB PSUs on the internet, some are ok, some are utter crap...

We have an Anker 5 port charger, with a faster USB-C and USB port. It works well and charges quickly - although it can get warm on full load of devices.
just be aware that all these chargers (even the Anker ones which I rate; I have the 60W linked to in the 1st reply although that is a bit old hat now in a way as it doesn't feature any USB-C ports) will share the total wattage across everything that's plugged in, so do bear your total power requirements in mind when speccing one. Also some of the cheaper ones may have a limited number of high-speed charging ports, of course that is fine though as long as you have enough for your needs!but these seem to really limit the charge rate when you have multiple things plugged in.
I have this one on my home desk and seems to be behaving so far.
