Who'd win?
What distance would they draw even over?
MO would probably win over 400 meters as Bolt is pure speed.
400 is still sprinters terretory, Bolt is a handy 400m runner and many have said he would step up that distance at some point.
I'd say 800m it starts to edge towards Mo though perhaps only just, it's just about more than a sprint and the runners are right on the aerobic/anaerobic threshold. 800m plus is Mo's, no question.
400 would not be that much of a race anything more and Mo beats him
400 m: 45.28 (Kingston 2007)
Mo is about 50 ish but after many laps but I cannot see him shaving 5 seconds off that and look at the bulk of a 400m runner and Mos slight frame
Draw even somewhere around 450-500 metres?- ie when Bolt needs stamina?
TBH I fancy my chance against Bolt over 1 km 😉
I bet his time is not fantastically fast for that distance - decent amateur ???- anyone know? Found nothing on a two minute google
What about cav on his bike v bolt over 100m?
Phelps
I don't see Vanessa being competitive over that distance.
What about cav on his bike v bolt over 100m?
He's doing 10.3s for a rolling 200m so I suspect there'd not be much in it.
Phil Hindes did a 17.1s 250m lap from standing in the team sprint which again suggests it'd be very close indeed.
Mo would be down around 49s for 400m. So Bolt. But 600m - Farah.
This seems to agree http://www.****/sciencetech/article-3086650/Who-win-race-Mo-Farah-Usain-Bolt-Equation-reveals-optimal-distance-needed-end-debate.html Not anything biased in the article; it just states the findings of some research that was carried out 🙂
I think when they were last asked (21012 Olympics?) they both agreed that about 700m it would be pretty close.
