Had an annual medical in work yesterday. Routine, never any issues etc, but when the nurse checked my sample she said" ooo, its gone pink. Not seen that one..." then she asked if I had any gall bladder issues.
Nope, no problems...and she wandered off.
Everything else was ok, and booked a GP appointment today, just to get it checked again. But that appointment is 2 weeks away...
So who knows what this "pink" indication was... (not pregnancy related)

Is that what the nurse told you after taking the MSU?

Drac, the nurse said nothing to me at all. Just said that it was unusual. (Occupational health nurse, I was one of many for a medical yestedday so bit of a production line)
Decided on the check up from my own docs for my own piece of mind

She hasn't seen pink urine before and couldn't tell you straight away any results?

Are you sure you seen a nurse and not just some random perv?

Seems wise but don't worry about it. Diet and meds can cause it to discolour. Small traces of blood to turn it pink can come from small issues but worth checking.

Knowing my job, it could well have been a random deviant.
My wee wee does smell of sugar puffs too.... ( just glad I wasn't offered a free prostate check whilst i was there)

If you were pissing on a dipstick thingy and one of the lower portions turned pinkish then that's indicative of a bilirubin thing. Dunno what that means, sounds like your nurse is thicker than me though, good luck.

He's referring to the urine colour not the MSU reading.

but when the nurse checked my sample she said" ooo, its gone pink

Surely if the nurse was just referring to the colour of the urine it would be "ooo, it's pink" not "ooo, its gone pink"?

I had mine checked today as well.

They need to make the pots bigger, I sprayed it all over myself in the lav, came out looking like I wet myself.

I should have asked for a hand filling it 😉

Ah! Right once again I totally misread the post.

My apologies.

Well then she did give you the MSU reading in that case.

No worries. Reading back in your original post you kind of did mention it.

I can't give you any further advice as I'll get into trouble so keep your GP appointment.
