You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I was up at 7 to let the dogs out and it wasn't nice then but now it's properly raining and miserable here with more forecast for the rest of the day.
I pottered around in the barn yesterday making a couple of metal brackets and then cut the paddocks and made bread so I can't do that today.
Sooo, I'm at a little bit of a loose end. Think I'll drink some coffee, do a little browsing then disappear into the barn again before making a casserole for tea. Not much happening then.
You lot got any decent plans for today that I can sit and envy?

Off for a run in the rain just so I don't have to listen to Cerys.
Then I don't know what.
I'm working, I say working when actually I'm sitting in the dispensary reading this forum.
<Sorry Mode On> It's Glorious in the North East.......Just fired up the Five see ya later 🙂 <Sorry mode off >
hmmm ..... it's not looking promising boys 😐
If I'm not very careful I may have to do some work [that I should have done on Friday] 😯
Actually I've got boaty stuff I can do.
Edit: BB, that looks much better but I have to do all the driving as MrsSB is unable to drive for another week.
Friggin in the riggin ?
I'm gonna get the bike out. Rain or no rain. It's been too long!
I have the slop bike ready. It is poised.
I may have another coffee first though...
Lazy day
India v. Australia
Quick ride
W.I. v. England
I'm having a fun morning in the rain - marking out final touches of a fancy driveway to be installed in a few weeks.
A day neither I, or my poor neighbours thought they'd ever see.
I got out yesterday.
After having to do family stuff when it was glorious yesterday and not having been out on the bike for a week I've got cabin fever. Weather is rubbish so doing some baking with the kids whilst another is at a birthday party.
Will be going out tonight on the bike come what may! Reminds me need to pop the light on charge.
It's bouncing down here, and I've been tea drinking off the effects of one over a few last night. But as it stands, mrsb at work, youngest b sleep over at gran's,17 yo b also sleeping off some booze (although she assured us she was not drunk 😆 ), and eldest b AWOL for a few days. So, will be finishing my 12th cuppa and dragging the bike out. My life is dictated by opportunity rather than weather and by 4pm today all privileges will be cancelled.
was out last night in the slop, although I still had a good time.
Heavy rain slash sleet here which has put paid to my gardening plans for today so we are off sofa shopping and I'm doing a roast chicken for tea which I will prepare while imbiding later. Could be worse!
Took the dog out for a walk in the sideways rain earlier. It's now bright and sunny here 🙄
Gravel bike ride planned for this evening. Can't be doing with late night bike cleaning.
Drying off here so do some shopping then a quick run for me, staying off the bike until ribs are fully recovered from a snowboard incident
That reminds me I need some fresh mint from Waitrose..
Sunny in devon.
No wait. Shitting it down.
Sunny again...
Sunny in devon.
No wait. Shitting it down.
Sunny again..
I'm in Somerset so I'll just add an hour or so to that to get my local forecast. Keep 'em coming.
Sacked off riding plans in Sheffield. I just can't be bothered with another epic clean up session that lasts longer than the ride.
My girlfriend is on the beach in Tyneside where apparently, it's warm and sunny.
Watching other people have fun on my behalf on Youtube.
Weather forecast was for showers all day today so I smashed myself round the FOD yesterday. Woke up this morning (well, 11am...) and it's sunny with fluffy clouds 👿
Bit windy though so that's stopping me getting out. Plus the fact my legs ache
Scotroutes - Woah, nice!
BB - nah just prepping the boat for the summer. Got plenty of jobs on the list mostly just engine servicing but the hydraulic steering was leaking and I'm now contemplating replacing it completely rather than doing a just seal job (even though I've just taken delivery of £130 worth of seal repair kit from the US).
Swim platform was also pulling off in September so that needs putting on properly.
Thank heavens I got my weekend ride in yesterday. Had I not managed to get out yesterday, I would still be riding today, it just wouldn't be much fun.
I'll qualify that by saying that I quite like splashing through muddy puddles and sliding around all over the place as it is very involving and fun, but the bits in between (climbs and road) are to be tolerated and no more is this weather.
Woo hoo, change of plans. Youngest b extending sleep over, I'm waking the hungover one, and the b-i-l is delivering us to the Fat Cat at Kelham island for a pie and re-tox 🙂 Screw you mother nature!!
Thank goodness I got mine in yesterday in the sun, wife's birthday today so food and drink, not a bad plan as it's damp yet again in Saddleworth
Pretty much wet everyday since November...
4o miles on the singlespeed yesterday.
Today at 12 I'm off to the pub for a Sunday roast followed by watching Logan with a couple of mates.
Another beer and then home.
I love this bike.

Somehow slept in until ~0900 without an alarm, latest I've woken in ages, annoying thing was that the best weather all day was expected between ~0900 and 1200. Bit of a gusty westerly here too.
Still feeling as fuzzy as when I got up, no closer to throwing on the cycling gear.
It's 3 degrees and heavy sleet here. Nipped out for an hour's whizz round on my road bike before breakfast, back home just as the sleet started.
Cosied up in the kitchen drinking tea and doing some drawing.
Just got in. Ride cut short at 14 miles as soaked to the skin and effing freezing. Driving, wet snow here in N Wales.
Do a jigsaw puzzle, or something. 😀
Mint collected.
And a few more things to scoff..
And the washing machines finished, all my running gears clean (for one day at least)
SpeedX3's washed and rinsed..
Might have a fart.
Might watch Paris -Nice, might not.
@Sharky..don't forget to clean and replace the gas pipes for the BBQ. And check the anode.
Move north.
Bright blue skies up here.
Mingin here - taking my lads rollerblading, and will be partaking myself.
well it was p1ssing with rain and a gale of a headwind when I rode 16 miles to work at 6.30 this morning. I still haven't warmed up (courtesy of spending the last 3 hours stood in a field at a job) and I doubt my kit will have dried out.
The wind has now changed direction so I will be getting a crosswind home 🙄
Wife ran a 10k in derby this morning. Waited till she got back so she could join me on the dog walk, she was really chuffed 😆
Daughter now baking bread and cakes. I've done the sum total of **** all useful.
Just cracked a beer 😳
Did our club's 100Km reliability ride and rode to the start and back from the finish as well to give 116Km.
Family stuff all day yesterday, so rules 5 and 9 were in effect today.
80km out to the Cinnamon Cafe in Windsor for half a cinnamon bun (about the size of a small pillow) and a coffee; and by the time we left the cafe we had blue sky and sunshine. And a headwind, and then some more rain, and then some more sun and headwind.
Good group, good pace though. And I feel properly nails for having gone out when impulse upon pulling back the curtain was to sack it off.
Just as i thought, "almost" warm enough for shorts so i was a bit chilly but at least my legs saw the sun for the first time this year, a nice 10mile pootle along the carrick coastline to sandgreen beach and back, Toby enjoyed it immensely as he managed a chilly swim then warmed up by chasing rabbits.
You'll be pleased to hear that is now overcast with light drizzle 😀
Washed bikes in April showers this morning, wind swept mudfest jog up the Downs with the Sithoundette in the sun this afternoon. Just got back and looks like rain again!
Mad March Hare sportive. Biblically pissing down at 8am start - hands and feet soaked and frozen within 15 mins. Quite hideous start but sun put an appearance in late on.
Cut ride short at 80k as sunny first thing turned to rain and hail and gales in S.Wales. It's March and I'm thinking of getting some Japanther boots.
Nice sunny morning in Edinburgh after a nasty day yesterday. 75k on the roadie then a cuppa in the sun in the garden - lovely !
Lovely afternoon in South Lanarkshire for a 25 mile poodle around the back roads, dry tarmac, bright sunshine, no wind. Time for a glass of wine now 😀
Glorious sunshine in the East Midlands at 7am this morning.
Biblical downpour at 9 when I arrived at Hicks Lodge for this morning's volunteer session. So we decamped to the café to give it half an hour to ease off which it duly did.
Hedge laying was abandoned due to the weather, and we spent a muddy three hours finding and clearing drainage culverts to stop the access road flooding.
Spent the afternoon recovering at home.
Crap weather here today. Same as yesterday. Couldn't muster the willpower to get out on the bike. Now feeling miserable as I've wasted the entire weekend and it's back to a job I hate tomorrow morning.
Aren't I just a little ray of flipping sunshine!!
Failed to muster up the willpower to go riding in the wind and rain, feeling guilty, but it's the only non-cycling day I've had this past week.
At least there is the commute tomorrow, dry first thing going in, 50/50 at home time.
Chilling today. It's chuckinitdown. Did Rooley Moor Rd and Greenbooth res yesterday though, it was slippy, loads of fun and made me consider disc brakes. Nearly went arse over tit, v brakes full of mud and general slop, you know the flava.
I'm forgiving everyone in Scotland for having good weather - you get more than your fair share of the crap stuff.
Didn't really get any better here (Chestershire) but I played with big boat enginey things inside and made a cracking beef casserole, so not an entirely wasted day.
Man up and get out.
30 odd kids from our club did today, and had a great time.
The minute I put a foot outside it pisses down. The cleaning regime after rides is doing my head right in. Dampens my mojo a bit but doesn't stop me, have the trails to myself most of the time which is nice.
Riding back through the streets to my house people look at me like I've got some kind of mental deficiency (they are probably right), soaked and covered with semi liquid mud from head to toe that only a hose down can fix 😆
I usually have 2-3 weeks off biking around this time of year and always feel a lot better afterwards.
Nov/Dec is ok I can stick two months of crap weather
By January it's starting to wear a bit thin
Feb and it's becoming a real chore
March *groan*
Good luck everyone
