Has anyone used this? Just about to replace our and wondering if I should do wood or plastic.

I've just done our new bathroom in upvc, used the eurocell stuff. It looks great, easy to fit, also used a door architrave kit, same results. Cheapest place I found was https://www.plasticbuildingsupplies.com/ very good to deal with, and when it was delivered, it came from the local eurocell place on their lorry lol
It's cheap, stable and doesn't mind getting wet, follows a bendy wall and can be glued on and needs no painting, ever. Superior to wood in every way.
I considered it but depends on the area. Skirting boards get kicked and damaged, scraped by vacuum cleaners. Wood is easy to repair and patch up if damaged so I went with pre-painted MDF. Glued them on. Follows bendy walls. No need for painting. Repairable. Does everything PVC does and less faff than bare wood. Also I like the matt look for my woodwork rather than high gloss finish.
MDF skirting is a nightmare if it gets chipped and then slightly damp. It's really difficult to sand, prime and paint as it just keeps blooming. There are specialist primers and paints but it is less time consuming to just replace it whilst taking really special care to seal any cuts.
Water based satin paint on wood is the best long term solution.

Yep, me too.
I’m sure I saw skirting boards with central heating built it, which sounds appealing, not having huge radiators screwed to the walls. Not sure how effective they’d be, but a very neat heating solution if they work.
Had the plasterers go right down to floor level when we renovated so no skirts anywhere. They grumbled a bit but looks so much better.
