[Closed] Uploading photos onto STW?

I use Photobucket. Upload photos from pc/phone,and copy as img code to here.

Upload them to a host site like photobucket then insert them using the [img] address [/img] thing.

They have to be hosted on the Internet, somewhere like Flickr or photo bucket, once there copy and paste the IMG code into the box here, don't bother with the IMG tabs on the toolbar as its normally included in thr IMG code when you copy it.

I'm using Flickr but not getting any joy...must be doing something wrong.

You've read the help pages and still having problems?

Look at your pic on flickr - just above it there is a 'share' button. Click it, tick the 'BB code' box, then cut the (seemingly random) text out, and paste onto the box on STW to reply...

Flickr is easy to do, there are great instructions in the forum help section.

burgatedicky, you need to delete everything after .jpg, like this:
[img] [b]" width="500" height="331" alt="Dovestones Res 2">[/b][/img]
That will give you this:[img] [/img]<

I always use Photobucket, because all you do is tap the link button and it gives you the choice of links, then copies it to your pasteboard, and all you do is paste into the reply box here. I do find Flickr a bit convoluted for quick image posting.

Ok, here's a Photobucket pic I've just uploaded. Tap on the second from bottom window,that says IMG CODE, and the code will be copied to your pasteboard, then you just paste it on here:

matther - read matt outandabout's post above - that's the best way of linking to the Flickr photo, also ensures you stick to Flickr's Ts & Cs

I swear I must be thick...just tried using the 'Share'and cutting after .JPG and still doesn't work!

Flickr

Flickr follows the same rules as above but they have added a button to retrieve the BBcode.

Find the photo you want on flickr
Above the photo there are two boxes “actions” and “share this”
Drop the menu in “share this”
See “grab the HTML/BBCode” and click.
See two buttons below the script, “HTML” “BBCode”
Check “BBCode”
Paste this code into the Singletrack forum post box

You need to change the code you copy to the BB code in Flickr then paste that rather than the code you just coppied and you'll have it.

Matther - Like this

Go to your photo
Click on 'Share' (Top left)
In the drop down box, goto "Grab the HTML code/ BBCode"
Click on BBCode (Little blue blob underneath)
Copy ALL the text out of the box where it says "Copy and paste the code below"
Paste that code into your post

NOTE "BBCode" is selected!!!

For gawd sake use Photobucket! They GIVE you the link as "IMG Code". You just click on it (don't even have to copy!) and then paste it. Even a moron could do it.
