Has anyone upgraded, is it better than hotmail?
My GF has and they kindly auto moved her to if from her Hotmail account at the same time, so causing loads of grief as all her friends use the old one, but the POP-3 access to it has stopped working. Hotmail emial now appears as a sub folder in Outlook.com - a real pain all round.
Erm... it's the same thing.
Just visit Outlook.com and sign in with your Hotmail email account details.
Microsoft changed the domain, to appeal more to business users of cloud-based email.
Just signed in, and got a nice message of "Your Hotmail has been upgraded to Outlook.com". Didn't 'upgrade' it myself in any way.
If it was the same thing then the Mail connection to Hotmail would continue to work, which it doesn't. If you change it to Outlook.com, inbound mail to the hotmail domain, doesn't go into your Outlook.com Inbox, but a subfolder - which is the irritating bit.
