There's a lot of dance and not a lot of pop here chaps. To redress the balance, surely the best pop act of the 00's:

beautiful beautiful. I am leaning more towards edm than guitars so that's okay.
The 00s isn't so much important as the 'feel good' but if I didn't limit it somewhat I'd get suggestions from the entire music spectrum, so stretch it to 90s and teens if you like.
Thanks guys.

If there's a benchmark for Brilliant Pop Music, it's basically Eurovision, and, listening to it again after a very long time, that Holly Valance song could have won Eurovision every single year for the last twenty years. It really is good, innit.

It's top quality right to the very end 😛

Also there's
Gorillaz (loads but maybe 19-2000 for upliftiness)
Fischerspooner - Emerge
Goldfrapp - Black Cherry, Train, Strict Machine, lovely stuff

As you were.

Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen is a proper pop banger. 2012 though, so may not make it into your playlist!

If there’s a benchmark for Brilliant Pop Music, it’s basically Eurovision

If you've spent your life in a gay bar in Helsinki, then possibly. Otherwise.... 😉

Anyway, if you want upbeat perfect pop music.....

Savage Garden

- in particular the double 'affirmation' album that includes 1 studio CD and a Live CD of the same songs - pop rock at its best... for my sins I still play it quite frequently hahahah!

The OP specified pop music, a lot of suggestions so far have been dance/tekno house/pop.

Anyway, here'sanother one...

If nothing else, it demonstrates the versatility of the acoustic guitar.

There’s lots of pop I like from the 00’s and a lot of it was on Japanese side of things as for some unknown reason late 90s early 2Ks saw an explosion of far-east psych-pop it was ace.

Some Franglais to even things out a bit:

My nominations.....

Paris to Berlin, by Infernal (2004)

Dr Jones, by Aqua (1997, so falls outside your window, but was so ahead of its time it could be a mid 2000s cheesy pop banger)

Call Me Maybe, by Carly Rae Jepson (2012, so again outside of your window, but possibly the best pop song ever written)

I'd forgotton about MGMT - great pop!

I'm a massive fan of the Run Run EP from Those Dancing Days, especially for road trips, apple music tells me its 'Alternative' but its firmly in the uplifting pop bracket for me!

Possibly already suggested

That little dragon track is class. I've started two play lists now... Things I've heard before and things I haven't 😄 love exploring new music but especially in the car when you've got time to listen.

There's no love song finer. But how strange the change from major to minor. Or in this case just minor but still uplifting

And now let's ruin a fantastic thread

and get this in under the wire...

Cheating a bit but, 90's, teens and dance music was mentioned as possibly being preferred by the OP.

Literally everything I want to post turns out to be from 1999. I hate this game

Also, apart from coming out in 1993, Mr Jones isn't even the best song on the album. It's not even the best song on the Mr Jones single.

A lot of good stuff that year for some reason.

2000 on the nose

Has a pretty decent video (they're not chasing a briefcase!) as well. Might have done something similar over kinder without the tombstoning bit, Wales that isn't it?
