You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I got some beauty products yesterday, addressed to my house but with an unknown name. Tried to give them to next door as the first name was the same as theirs but their surname is different.
Looked up the company and its Beauty by BB, Mumsnet have put them in the scumbag category for ripping off the people they recruit to sell!
So I'm just wondering if it's a simple addressing mistake, or if there is something a little sinister going on. Are there any common tricks, such as signing my address up as a newly recruited seller...or getting commission even though I haven't purchased the products?
My first thought was it was an Amazon seller so they could put in a fake verified review on their own products, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
OP
You just know there is going to be a follow up knock on the door from the seller 😉

Unsolicited goods, keep them.
Most likely it should have gone to the addressee with a similar post code and the rest has been auto filled at shipment based on an input error. For argument sake it should have gone to number 9 ab12 3cd and instead went to number 9 ab21 3cd or what ever. Happens often enough.
It's illegal to send you goods unsolicited and then ask for payment.
However, it's not 'unsolicited goods' if the addressee name is wrong I don't think. It doesn't belong to you. You should let them know and given them opportunity to collect it.
A quick google would suggest that this lot are indeed MLM shysters but the only suggestion I can see that they use unsolicited goods as a tactic is this very thread, so it's likely a mistake.
