As above ... looks tricky to do oneself? Any tips, or any high street unlockers? (It's on O2 and they're proving massively unhelpful!)

Very surprised to hear this. I have done this online in the past no problem at all.

How far are you in to your contract?

O2 have unlocked all of mine for free, just phone up and ask...

Easy as. £15 if you don't have a contract, free if you do.

O2 on the phone, or O2 in a shop? If the latter, that's your problem. You need to ring them rather than deal with a commission-driven gibbon.
