If it's made from spuds, it's veg 😀 . Sadly spuds don't make one of your five a day because high starch. Good source of energy. Hence the use in Vodka. Sugars into alcohol.

Of course sugar/carbs are bad now m'kay. Or not.

I like to put double cream on ice cream if both are available. Cream freezes slightly on top of the icecream and gives it a bit of texture.

Jelberts ice Cream in Newlyn, Cornwall - offer an enormous spoon of clotted cream over their amazing vanilla ice cream.. 😀

Last time I went biking in the Alps, the chalet cook would incorporate leftovers from last nights dinner into your packed lunch. We had lasagne in french bread on a couple of occasions, and also dauphinoise potatoes in french bread. Delicious.

Make two pieces of French toast using doorstop thickness white bread. Put loads of cheese on one, melt it slightly under the grill. Add fried smoked bacon ontop of cheese. Place other piece of French toast ontop to make the best heart attack sandwich ever.

Chips cheese and gravy here too, with jumbo sausage of course.

Bacon fried in butter is also rather nice.

A trucker pal eats pot noodle rolls and pie rolls.

I feel sick ...

I used to order doner kebab meat. And then chips on the side.

Our local chippy was ridiculously generous. Have a pic somewhere of what was commonly hefted homewards after the pitiful 13 mile weekly cycle training circuit. Decided to quit the doner eight months ago and have stuck to it. Moving house was a little extreme but it worked.

crumpet - cut into the side with a sharp knife to form a pocket but leave the majority of the edge intact

slice some strong cheddar

carefully slide into the pocket you made trying to get a nice even layer throughout the crumpet

toast it slowly and make sure the cheese has melted (if doing it under the grill toast the bottom first unless you want cheese dripping out of your holes 😯 )

when it is nicely toasted I tend to cover it in butter and marmite . . .

Mmmmmm I think it is time for a midnight snack!
