You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
It's rarely that I am genuinely astounded and impressed by someone's challenge, but this is one of them.
My friend Arry is currently part way round running the entire perimeter of Wales - a total of 1027 miles off-road. She's doing this as an ultramarathon, so running over 39 consecutive marathons. I couldn't even manage one marathon, let alone get up and do it over and over again, day after day 😯
What makes it doubly impressive is that she's not a professional athelete, she's just like you and I. She's been trainaing and training for months for this, but it's one hell of a thing to try and do no matter how fit you are. So right now she's battling on through, getting through the pain due to her unbelievable level of determination.
That determination comes from the sad loss of both her parents, who died a few years ago from cancer. Since then she has put her heart and soul into raising money for cancer charities, hence the aim of this run.
So she's out there today, running her 27th marathon (!!!), in the rain and the wind round the coast of Anglesey.
Any support you can give her would be great - post her a positive comment on her twitter feed, give her a cheer if you live near the border of Wales, and if at all possible please donate to the cancer charities.
