I recall a great deal of talk at the time of Alison's death about Jim living his climbing ambitions vicariously through her, so I'm not surprised to see similar comments in this article. Whether there is anything in it, who knows, but Alison was an absolute star. Her book "A Hard Day's Summer" is well worth a read. Good luck to Tom.
