I'll be getting Goodyear Eagle f1 Asymmetric 3's this week to replace my Goodyear Eagle f1 Asymmetric 2's which need replaced. They have been excellent and I have got about 25k miles from them.
2nd the pirellis. Had continental before and squeezed 30k out of the set. Only went pirelly cos conti were out of stock
Cross-climates. Well impressed with mine so far.

I put CrossClimates on my A6 a few weeks ago. It has been pretty snowy and icy this week in west of Scotland and they have been very impressive. Was out in the country visiting parents this afternoon in whiteout conditions with around 3 inches of snow and no blacktop visible and had a chuckle as I passed a guy stuck on a steep section in his Impreza 😀
Cross climates.
Driven mine in Europe in 35' and recently in Scotland where I live in snow, ice and -12' Completely fit and forget. 15000 miles and they are maybe 30% worn.

You must drive like a granny, Eagles are a fairly soft sports tyre. Also they are quite a harsh ride compared to others. They are quiet though!
I’ve recently had Goodyear Efficient Grips and Eagles. Efficient Grip were very quiet and softened the ride, Eagles much better turn in and confidence.
I too have been smug passing people on snowy up hill roads in my rear wheel dive car with Eagles on it 😆

Goodyear Vector 4 Seasons.Quiet and grippy in wet and snow/ice. Very sure footed on my Octavia this past couple of weeks around Glasgow and up north earlier in the month.
After universal acclaim, I put a set of Cross Climates on my v70 a few weeks ago. There's a couple of threads on here to search.
They were £160 a corner and promise good summer grip, better winter grip, decent economy and more mileage than their predecessors. I've only put half a tank through since fitting so the jury is out for me though they are quieter than the worn out OE Conti Sport Contacts they replaced and there's slightly more weight to the overassisted steering.
I'm driving to Austria on Friday so we shall see.

Yes they are 3 Peak Mud and Snow certified so they count as winter tyres across Europe

Don't forget that winter is <7degrees in terms of tire compounds
Most normal commutes are heavily skewed into the lower than 7degrees.
I'd rather run all seasons than summers if I was doing the normal commute in my car.
As is I live in north Scotland where it's only really summer tire weather on the commute 1 month of the year (source scotroutes data analysis service) I don't bother changing back.
Recently got a car which came with summers -and it's winter. Scary how bad they are at being on damp.cold roads in comparison -even when above zero

OP firstly I would ask how you are only getting 8k out if a set. Setup ? How are you driving ?
Have a read of this, Cross Climates and Nokian score well as do the Conti’s. All seasons could suit you well, fit and forget and great over autumn and winter in the Peak
I’d also have a good look through Conti range, I have always had a great experience with their tyres as maybe a good all rounder will work for you. Not least as size availability is an issue with all seasons

I put some on before Christmas. Their performance in snow and ice has been pretty amazing, to be honest. Easily as good, if not better than the full winters (Bridgestone Blizzak) I had on the last car.
We spent new year in the Scottish Borders at a remote shepherds cottage. The last couple of miles was a single lane track, partly unsurfaced, 1 in 4 uphill for a long stretch, and covered in snow and ice. The car went straight up it without any fuss whatsoever.
Seem pretty good with temperatures above freezing too. Quiet, lots of grip, no impact on fuel economy noted. Obviously, have yet to use them in summer, but I'm sold on all season tyres.

oh look a fact. ..... stopping distances on winters in summer is 1.7m more... but summers in winter (note this is not snow - just cooler roads) is nearly 5m more.... and it is noted that in snow or ice this gap will only get bigger.
Vredestein Qualtrak 5s were excellent in the snow recently and seem to work OK in other conditions (but please note that I am not a 'spirited' driver).
@Trailrat. Don't waste your time. Funky does not believe all season tyres are worthy. That's OK. Each to their own, no point in everyone trying to convert everyone else is there?

Uniroyal Rainsport is always popular amongst my friends. Technically a summer tyre but excellent wet performance.

I am saying they are not worthy if you live in an area where the temp doesn't get much below 7 degrees or whatever it is.
Having said that I've just checked the average temps for Leeds and in only 7 of the 12 months of the year cross climates would be the wrong type of tyre to have.

That's 7 out of 12 months on all day temps. If you narrow it down to the commute for 8-4 I'll bet it's a few more.

Rainsport 2s have not been available for a long time now as the rainsport 3 replaced them yonks ago!
Rainsport 3s are as fantastic in the wet as they are in the dry though at the expense of wear as they are so soft.
Nokian WR D4 gets my vote for a very good winter tyre .
Ah ok. I got rid of my 2s on a car I sold. Been using maxxis all seasons and bfg muds since then :)......to go back to Michelin premacys was like going back to ditch finders....even pulling away at junctions is scary as it scrabbles for grip........*not a powerful nor Torquy car !!!*
