Hello, I used to spend a lot (too much?) time on here when I had a desk job, then I was made redundant and you guys helped with that, then I went travelling in my van and my blog was pretty popular here. I have been quiet lately, busy with 2 jobs and self employed start up, but currently taking a few weeks off in the van again, blogging about it here, though after a torn acl on the last trip this is a less biking, more relaxing trip! When I get back I plan on maintaining a better work life balance so will be more adventures at home too I hope!
Ah , someone* who did something sensible with their redundancy. How jealous am I that I didn't have the guts! Good work sazter.
*not a man 😀
Cough, nota man, but thanks! 😂
Welcome back sazter!
Welcome back! Any chance you could post a link to your blog so we can read it?

Long time no see! Last I saw you were prepping Mo for Europe...

If its not you this is going to sound weird......
but did you have the movano with the beavers painted on it ?
Hi squirrel king, mo is still going, doing a lap of Spain and Portugal now, beav is Co pilot!
@trail rat yep that's the very one!
but did you have the movano with the beavers painted on it ?
worst chat up line ever
Hello .Welcome back.
I remember the van threads too.
Brilliant
Heh - sounds like I shall be following you down that way in a few weeks. Got to ride down to a conference in Lisbon.
Thought about popping over into Morocco? It’s amazing!!
rachel
Hey Rachel, not doing Morocco this time but my family live in Gibraltar so it will be done!

Part two above, a week late due to unreliable WiFi. Hopefully get pt 3 up later today or over the weekend.

Week three posted, have a laugh at my stem and grey patch on my fatbike!
Great write up, and looking forward to the next thread about this:
the upside is I can fix most things quickly on the road. I think I will revamp the van interior soon as I now have way better tools and a fair bit more knowledge so reckon I can make something pretty good
And I hope you're having better luck with the weather than we are currently in Madrid!
Mogrim, it's been a bit grey today but we have been very lucky overall!
Looking good Saz, was talking about you to Gavin just the other day- hope all's well.
Hey Gary, all is well here thanks! Should be catching up with Gavin when I'm back, as ever have a pile of parts and miscellaneous stuff for him! A man who takes apart and puts together more stuff than me!
Nice work, enjoyed the blog (and you can just make out my front room window in the panorama of San Sebastián!)
Sorry, last post will get done at some point, right now I'm home but up to my eyeballs with life. Van is dying of old age but hopefully away tonight with someone who wants it for spares. Can't complain as we've had amazing adventures and plenty of weekends away too. Unsure what's next, might go back to a small van for a while and save some cash and start on a big van again in a couple of years when the next big trip is on the cards. For now I'm getting fit as I have to ride everywhere so it's not all bad!
We're just about to start prepping our motorhome for what we're thinking will be an initial 6-month trip. Not sure where we're going to head yet however I'm thinking perhaps following the west coast through France, Spain and Portugal to Gibraltar them maybe over to Morocco for the winter.
