So, next month I am in Cambridge for a couple of nights, staying at the highly desirable Cambridge Central Travelodge.

19 years since I was last there, and I'm guessing the young lady who was the reason for my last visit has not been waiting patiently for my return, so I need some ideas for something or somewhere to see, eat and drink, within easy staggering distance of the hotel, for me and a bunch of other middle-aged overweight civil servants.

Thank you

What's your budget for food??

Midsummer House or Alimentum if you fancy a Michelin dining experience, or try D'Arry's for good, reasonable, seasonal food and a bloody good wine list.

Stuff to do? Museums aplenty, cinema, punting, no riding though.

What dates are you over for?

You're very near to town there, so easy to wander down Hills Road and there are loads of restaurant options....

Think the eating budget is £23 a night - we are there 15th and 16th July.
