Someone I follow on Twitter just posted what looks awfully like a suicide note. I don't think I know them in real life, but I might do without realising it. STW hive mind: does anyone know Northernbike? Does anyone know what you can do in this situation?

Crap. I really don't know what to recommend.

Does Twitter hold informant that could help in a situation like this? Sorry, dont do SM at all, hardly, these days.

Is this any good, from Twitter? Has a method to report potential suicide I believe.

I've just discovered that facility on Twitter and reported it. Ugh.

@poopscoop One of the other Twitter users who replied last night knew them from years ago, but only in as much as knowing their name (didn’t tell me the name though). I found a couple of tweets that suggested an approximate locality, so the other user called the police and reported what information we had. Also reported the tweets to Twitter. But beyond that, nothing. I couldn’t find anyone that knows him in real life. I see that KeeperofthePeak has just put a shout out too. I remain worried.

Was really hoping to hear better news.

I can't think of anything else you can do now.

Hopefully he's gone off grid for a while to get his head around things, I know I do that. Fingers crossed he tweets again in the next few days.

Awful as there is just not much else can be done without anyone knowing more info about him/her.

Based on their approx location from looking at some tweets, I wonder if Dales Bike Centre might know them Hannah? Well done for flagging this. Really hoping they get the help they need.

Messaged Stu at DBC and a couple of other locals in the Bije scene around Leyburn.

Thank you for your good suggestions and efforts.

I doubt there is much else to be done now, except to check in on our own lone friends. Glad that this is a weekend where I have my kids with me. It’s been a rough week - was just reduced to tears by series 2 episode 1 of Gone Fishing!

The user liked a random Alistair Campbell and Karl Turner tweet a few hours after the post.

Good news indeed. We had a user on another forum in a very bad way some years ago. One of the members managed to track their address down - went through all their postings, and found a photo with a 'letter' in the background and got the address. Fortunately we were able to help.
