I have a spare tv at home that I'm going to stick in the garage for use when I'm on the turbo trainer. It would be a faff to get an aerial connection in there so I'll use some sort of plug in stick. But ideally I'd like to watch live TV.
I already have an apple tv in another room so I'm used to that format and could stream live TV from my phone.
Any other options I should be looking at? I don't want amazon prime and I think a Fire stick is a bit limited without it.
Is there WiFi signal in there? If so, you can watch iPlayer, ITVPlayer, Channel4 Player, SkyGo (if you have Sky)....
Oh, sorry, ignore me, I thought you were wanting to watch it on a laptop or summink 😳
Yes there is wifi, that's why I want some sort of streaming device 🙂
Google Chromecast? You can cast iPlayer / Youtube straight from your phone to the telly.
If it's got HDMI then a NOW TV device? You can use buy them with 3 months or so subscription for movies or tv included then just use them after that for iPlayer, All4 etc.
It's got hdmi but I don't want to sign up for anything monthly. I'm thinking that plugging in a decent quality aerial might be the best option and an apply tv to give smart tv options.
iPlayer and All4 are free on the NOW TV box, no subs needed
just plug in a portable booster aerial not an option ?

That's an option I'm looking at trail_rat but I'd also like to be able to stream to it so if one device did all then that would be the best option.
But as I said above looks like an aerial/apply tv is probably the best option.
I've had both the Chromecast & FireTV Stick and definately prefer the FireTV Stick. You can install Kodi on it and then the watching possibilities are endless. You can also play games and there are all sorts of apps for it.
Chromecast, Cinema HD, mobdro, Kodi, Freeview(iplayer etc)apps. Sorted.
