I think it's fantastic, but the blue one would have been better.

There are very few electrical items one should have in a bedroom. A TV is not one o them.

Moving house soon and would like a TV in the bedroom. I've got Sky at moment and will be taking that but there is a convenient aerial point in our proposed bedroom. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of AppleHDtv? Been looking at HD boxes and this seems like it would open up a load of options like ITunes movies and airplay. Could I connect this to a TV connected to an aerial point or would it need to be connected to a satellite feed? Cheers

Never had a TV in the bedroom. I quite fancy it now however and there's nothing wrong with that in my opinion but each to their own

I had a TV in one house and ocassionally watched it, mainly Sunday morning chilling.
Another TV in another house and watched it most evenings.
A third in the third house and never watched it, not once.

I have Apple TV and it's great - I don't use it for Netflix type movie download but for watching content using my iPhone / iPad as the "remote/player" stuff like bbc iPlayer, downloaded movies/other programming, Vimeo / YouTube (brilliant for midweek mini movies etc)

What exactly is wrong with having a tv in the bedroom?

Personal choice? Should anyone have to defend their personal choice?
It doesn't necessarily have to be wrong, does it?

It's Chavvy like...

There were some studies about the way the brain processed stuff like TV & games which showed that it made it harder to switch off/sleep after.

On the odd occasion we want to watch something I just grab the laptop.

Apparently people who have TVs in the bedroom have less sex. That's as good an argument as any for not getting one.

Depends what you're watching on it.

We didn't bother with one until the Vancouver Winter Olympics, but as that was on through the night and there was stuff we wanted to watch we got one. The OH mainly watches it when she's doing the ironing, or when Jnr is monopolising the TV downstairs with his Xbox and rarely watch anything in bed.

I think most transvestites start off in the bedroom, then as confidence and make over etc builds they may venture further afield. Do what you feel best with, what ever floats your boat.

I've got one, less arguments with my housemate, Sunday morning laying in bed with tea toast and telly is a nice luxury 😀

Correlation doesn't equal causation!

We have one. Before the kids came along it was great - late night movies, weekend lie ins etc. A few weeks ago we agreed that we'd use it less as we're so knackered most of the time it's nice just to go to sleep when you go to bed.

You don't have to have a TV in your room for that to happen!

I think that's the difference betweens the haves and have not's
I go to bed and go straight to sleep or entertain 🙂 then go straight to sleep. My feet are on the floor and heading to the bathroom within 30 seconds of waking.
I'm never in bed as somewhere to just relax

No,not ever.

What never...?
Well, hardly ever.

My one exception is sickness. When mrs dj was recovering from an operation, I bought a TV and placed it in the bedroom for a couple of weeks.

We don't have one in the bedroom now because 1) I don't watch it anyway. 2) The kids will argue precedence. 3) If that fails they just sit in the bedroom!

So we have two downstairs rooms with TV's.

I find it very useful for that saturday night conundrum of up to bed with the Missus or Match of the Day. Now, i can do both (in fact, if i start on the titles, I can usually see the whole of the program anyway. The trouble is, if by some miracle I go on beyond the titles and into the introduction, and I see mark lawrenson looking back at me, i can 'lose interest' quite quickly)

The day Gaby Logan was presenting, however.......

"Infact,if I start on the titles" I had to read that twice as my brain transformed it into smut the first go

The real question is not to have a TV in the bedroom or not..... but to have it mounted on the ceiling or not!
