Are portable TV aerials good nowadays? Seem to be good reviews on Amazon etc. Or should I bite the bullet and fit a new aerial kit in the loft or an outside wall?

Stick your postcode in here: http://www.wolfbane.net/cgi-bin/tvd.exe? and it'll show you where the nearest transmitters are and what sort of aerial you'll need to pick them up.

Some places need the most basic of little set-top aerials, some will need a great big thing mounted high on a pole outside.
