So...after growing a beard to support a local kids charity the rest of the family decided it was a good thing as it covered my face....

Unfortunately it went curly like traditional hair elsewhere. Turkish barber just up the road from work so popped in and took my place in the queue. Beard trim and open blade shave around the edges.

Wow! What clipper and open razor wielding skill. The flaming skewer took me by surprise 'though.

Will be doing that again.

Turkish barbers are brilliant for the older gentleman. Ears, nose, eyebrows... scorched earth policy.

I always feel self-concious going back to work on the tram afterwards accompanied by the smell of burnt hair. You'll not notice it after about an hour, but will again in the morning when you jump in the shower.
