You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Ok, hands up, I cocked up. Booked a Last mInute trip with guess who - we leave for Turkey at 7am tomorrow! Last Minute are claiming its not their problem if they flog a holiday that needs a visa, without time to obtain it! Not a word during the booking process (by telephone).
Last time we went, we simply handed over £20 when we arrived and all was well. Just checking now and its vague as to whether that system is still working.
Choices seem to be apply for an e-visa (they claim up to 12 hours to process but if ordered before 11pm then it will be issued same day, somewhat contradictory)
Or risk landing and getting the £20 option if it is still running!
Anyone been recently that can confirm whether the e-visa is quick or that the local arrival option is still available?
Also seems that the hotel that i've booked closes 2 days before my booking ends!! Thats not their issue either!

'From 29 October 2018, self service e-Visa kiosks and Wi-Fi areas where visitors can apply for an e-Visa on arrival will no longer be available in Turkish airports - you must apply for your e-Visa before you travel.'
So it sounds like you're okay, just. I guess it depends on whether the info the Foreign Office has is correct.
Went a month ago. Bought the visas online while sat on the plane waiting to take off. Panicked on landing but wifi readily available and downloaded the visa and screen shot. Fella in customs didn't even want to look at them
Slim chance.
You can get an e-Visa online before you travel through the official Republic of Turkey e-Visa website. An e-visa costs $20 and you can pay using a credit or debit card. You can apply up to 3 months in advance of your travel date. From 29 October 2018, self service e-Visa kiosks and Wi-Fi areas where visitors can apply for an e-Visa on arrival will no longer be available in Turkish airports - you must apply for your e-Visa before you travel.

I had to lend a workmate £20 once as he tried paying for the Turkish visa at the airport with a Scottish £20. It got thrown back at him...
richwales - was it a pretty instant process then? Did you not have to scan your passport?
No just entered the passport number. Panic bought on my phone as the plane was taking off. Really easy.
It’s a non problem. Enjoy your hol.
Back in the early 90s working in Turkey on a tourist visa (genuine work visas took 2 yrs to come through so everyone worked on tourist visas) my passport used to go for a little trip to Symi (Greek island just off the coast) and back every few months without me to get a new stamp from a tame official. Think of it as an entrance fee rather than a visa in the traditional sense.
Panic over...thanks all.
Now to try and convince Thomas Cook that its really not a good idea having our kids scattered all over the plane!
Thought booking late would be simpler but hadn't bargained on LASTMINUTE.COM being tossers...
You can just nip into the consulate and get them. Try to avoid fights.
I've heard of Horse Passports, but never of Turkey Visas.

Glad you got everything sorted but it’s not a travel company’s responsibility to advise on Visas it is always down to the traveller.
