I really wanted to see a real-life version of this.

Try Kalkan, loads of hills / mountains and it's a nice resort.

No, I've not cycled there. I'd give the road along the coast to Kalkan a miss, its scary enough in a car. Head inland, the roads aren't too bad, there will be epic climbs and incredible scenery. If the want it a bit flatter head west of Kalkan, there is quite a wide valley. Also maybe think about visiting some of the antiquities, they make what we have in the UK look like a pile of stones. Mostly around 2000 years old contemporary with the Romans. If nothing else they give the ride a destination and there's usually a small bar or at least a hut selling cold drinks

Thanks for advice, we were based in patara, about 15k west of Kalkan. Proper old unspoilt village we loved it, so cheap compared to the rest of Europe. Loads of epic rides up in the hills above kalkan like you said. Thanks again.

Glad you enjoyed it, Patara was probably a better cycling location than Kalkan, at least the start of each ride wasn't vertical. Scenery back in the hills is spectacular.
