Good idea or not?
Got a digger coming to terrace the back garden - Bought a bit of land from a neighbour, oh 7 years ago, this is me finally getting my finger out!. I'd rather turf now than wait til spring, as it'll be covered in weeds again by then...
I'm basically getting rid of all the red chips, and replacing with grass as the area is a pita with mares tail, grass will sort that.
Ta!
Not sure it'll grow very well due to cold temps and how waterlogged is the land?
It's very well drained, we have sandy soil here, and this is the two upper levels of the garden.
When I left school years ago I worked for a contractor for three years and most of that was turfing new builds. We laid turf all year round in all weathers and it always grew.
Aye, lots of websites seem to say this too, bugger it, I'll go for it.
